Fresh food tasting

At Montra Hotel Sabro Kro we are proud of our Danish fresh food. We are happy to make an extra effort to search for and find small breeders who have more time to tend to their products and in this way ensure top quality.

We offer, among others, a taste of wild boar, goat, cheeses, charcuterie and much more. The tasting is accompanied by our chefs.

A fresh food tasting is planned according to your wishes with regard to both time and scope and may include a visit to some of our suppliers, as e.g. Storm Ged in Sorring.

BEER TASTING

We work with a small brewery by the name of Wintercoat situated in the town of Sabro.

Wintercoat's main causes are the actual craftsmanship and that the raw materials of the beer should stand out.

The tasting can take place at the hotel or at the brewery. In the latter case, a guided tour of the brewery by head brewer Niels Jørn Thomsen is included. The brewery facility also has room for approx. 40 persons and the hotel is happy to deliver and serve any meals there as required.

CITY OF ÅRHUS

The city of Århus offers a large number of excursions and outings. The Old Town (Den Gamle By) is a classic that only gets better with time and it is a very popular tourist attraction.

ARoS is the new art museum of Århus which offers a large number of beautiful and interesting art collections. The museum has a permanent exhibition and a number of alternating exhibitions. The actual architecture of the building in itself is worth a visit.

A VISIT TO FRIJSENBORG ESTATE

The beautiful Frijsenborg Estate is situated a mere 10 kilometres from Montra Hotel Sabro Kro. The estate offers a guided tour of the surrounding woods by gamekeeper Niels Christian Nielsen or a tour of the estate gardens. The actual manor house is closed to the public and used for private residence.

This excursion can include a forest picnic.

Teambuilding

We are happy to help you arrange your teambuilding activities with external teachers. As an example, a former participant of the Danish equivalent to the TV show Survivor had arranged an entire day of teambuilding at the hotel for people who were opening a new department store. Sprækkebjerg outdoor centre is situated 10 kilometres from the hotel and offers rappelling, obstacle course, football golf and paintball. Here is something for every taste whether you prefer action or more relaxing activities. And why not end the perfect day with dinner in the tipi that has room for 80 people.
